About Us
Where It All Started
For over twenty years, I owned and operated gift shops. Curating beautiful things for people who cared about quality and meaning. I learned what lasts and what doesn't. I learned that customers can feel the difference between something made with intention and something made to fill a shelf.
In 2013, while drinking coffee one morning, I went looking for an inspirational jewelry line for my shops. Something scripturally accurate, beautifully designed, and sophisticated enough that my customers would actually want to wear it.
I couldn't find it.
So I designed it myself. A sheep. A scripture. A tag with meaning. My customers embraced it immediately. I couldn't keep it in stock.
That was the first mark. That was Thankful Sheep.
For years it lived quietly alongside other brands in my stores. I remember my husband asking why we weren't ordering more. I laughed and said, "It's not a thing. I just made it." That conversation marked the beginning of something bigger than I realized at the time.
Why a Sheep
The name comes from Isaiah 53:6:
"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
We were lost sheep. Now we're thankful sheep.
It's that simple. And it's woven into everything we make.
The Original Marks
In 2019, we filed for trademark protection across five categories - jewelry, drinkware, handbags, clothing, and stationery. That same year, we developed the marks that would become the visual foundation of Thankful Sheep.
The sheep with the crown. The badge, "Message of Truth, 33 AD." The wax seal. The TS monogram. A signature pattern built from these marks started showing up on everything - scarves, packaging, accessories. It became part of the visual language of the brand.
These aren't logos that follow trends. They're marks that hold. They were designed to carry weight, to mean something, and to last.
Every Heritage piece carries one of these original marks. They are the foundation the house was built on.
Holding the Vision
When the world shut down during COVID, many of the plans surrounding the brand slowed down too. In the middle of that pause, my husband surprised me with a visit to a sheep farm. A quiet reminder to keep the vision in front of me and remember where it all began.
That moment, simple and real, became part of the story.

The Heritage Collection
Heritage is the original collection - the pieces that carry our founding marks and don't go out of stock.
You'll find the sheep with the crown on our mugs, tees, and the tumblers your family fights over every morning. The badge - Message of Truth, 33 AD - is pressed into our leather goods, cuff links, crystal glassware, and the wristwatch that quietly says everything without saying a word. Our scarves carry the signature Heritage pattern in multiple colorways. And our stone coasters sit on the table where it all started, over morning coffee.
These are items meant to be part of your life. The mug you reach for first. The scarf that goes with everything. The leather wallet that gets better the longer you carry it.
What Heritage Means
Heritage pieces don't rotate. They don't chase seasons. They stay.
If Thankful Sheep is a house, Heritage is the foundation it stands on.
The House
Thankful Sheep has grown over time into new creative expressions — but this is where the story began. Heritage holds the beginning. The House carries the next expression.
